The first thing to consider when choosing a house front door is its size. The door should be large enough, but proportional to the house size. A tool large door is not good for a small house. It will create financial problems. At the same time, a too small door will not let enough good energy into the house, causing tension and arguments at home.

  • A front door located on the South-East should be decorated with rectangular shapes.
  • Square ornaments are the best for the South-West.
  • The West. roundish and half moon ornaments would be optimal for the western entrance door.
  • The East. It’s better to use rectangular ornaments on the eastern side of the house.

House Feng Shui Colors for the Home Entrance Door

In general, the best colors for a front door are red, green or black. However, the choice of an appropriate color depends on the location of the front door.

  • The North. For a northern entrance door the most favorable colors are blue, black, and white. Avoid choosing a brown, yellow or green door for this direction.
  • The best colors for the North-East would be brown or yellow. Red and orange can also be used as supplementary colors. Green and white are the worst variants for this direction.
  • The West and the North-West. A door located in one of these directions should be painted white, golden or silver. Yellow and brown can also be used to reinforce the main color.
  • The South. Red or green can be chosen for the front door located on the south. Brown and yellow are not the best, but still won’t do any harm. Blue and black are not recommended for this direction at all.
  • The South-West. Choose brown or yellow for the South-West. Red and orange can be used as supplementary colors. The worst option is green and white, so avoid these colors on the South-West.
  • The East and the South-East. Green, black, and blue are the best colors for these directions. White color should be avoided here.
